Guestbooks
After every performance, the audience exits into a space where a couple of Guestbooks are laid out. Some people write in them; some don’t. Some send emails which are then taped into the books.
- Interesting mix of surrealism and pyrotechnics + lasers. (W.F.)
- Very interesting to look at, as an installation as well as a performance piece. I'm not sure what exactly I was watching. But there is a lot to think about.
- Peaceful, exciting, beautiful – too brief … ? (Andy)
- I'm perplexed …
- This I really enjoyed. I felt captured between two worlds. It feels like being inside the mind of a child or anyone experiencing this world and its powers. It was very real. (Amanda)
- Bittersweet and sad.
- Terrifying.
- We were blessed tonight with beauty and danger.
- My senses have been awakened.
- As they say in the Maritimes “That was different.”
- REMNANTS has a clarity that transcends language. It speaks a story without words but with a meaning that everyone understands. It reminds us that evidence speaks a story much clearer than words, which is important for us people who have relied entirely too much on words. (M.)
- Hauntingly beautiful, fascinating … don't claim to fully understand, but was touched.
- … when you started touching the people to leave, I received an adrenalin rush, my heart starting beating, I didn't want to leave. Enthralling!
- Disturbingly sublime – fantastic – dreamscapes of art.
- The noises (sparks) put into a flight or fight state! It was very effective!
- Huh?
- Subtleties and madness … crescendo of the finale – stunning and horrifying. Beautiful.
- Tonight felt like we learned as viewers and painters. (Peter S.)
- Thank you for a provocative and beautiful work. (David Burgess)
- Most captivating. The setting as was intriguing as the performance. (Stan)
- The dance reminded me of the poetry of Sappho – small, exquisite fragments.
